Midland Brick

Midland BrickMidland Brick: A shortage of building products in Western Australia in 1946 encouraged brothers Ric and Gerry New to produce their own bricks. Locating suitable clays in Middle Swan close to the WA town of Midland, they founded Midland Brick Company and started manufacturing bricks. In 1990 the company became a division of Boral.

Today Midland Brick is the largest clay brick manufacturer on one site in the world. The company has been acknowledged in the Guinness Book of Records as the largest brickworks in the world.

In 2006 Midland Brick opened its newest, most modern kiln, Kiln 11, capable of producing enough bricks to build 2500 homes per year.

As part of the Boral Group, Midland Brick has expanded its building product range far beyond bricks and pavers to become part of the largest building products manufacturer in the whole of Australia. From ground to roof, home builders can virtually shop 'one stop' at Midland Brick.

For owner builders, technical advice and estimates are available by speaking to our Owner Builder Sales Advisors, located at every branch.

Whether you are building a new home, renovating or landscaping you'll find what you need at Midland Brick, with everything on display and products and services showcased to make selection even easier.
